Living with the Hum

If you can hear a low frequency humming sound that other people that other people with good hearing cannot hear, then the noise that you hear is coming from your own body. Most people find this hard to accept and rebel against the idea choosing instead to grasp any straw that will offer a conventional explanation. The first 5 years are probably the worst with a mixture of frustration and anger at being unable to find the cause. For a very few sufferers the Hum may suddenly disappear as mysteriously as it came but for the majority it will increase with age with the realisation that they are stuck with this problem for life.
The mass of evidence collected from Hum sufferers over many years indicates that the Hum causes the body to produce toxins in a manner similar to that of motion sickness, this is most evident in the symptoms of nausea, headache, loss of concentration, aching muscles and heart palpitations.
At this moment in time it is most unlikely that the cause of the Hum will be attended to, and so the present task will be to minimise the effects of the Hum by reducing amount of toxin induced, and help the body clear that which has accumulated.
Buildings and the ground they stand on greatly effect the Hum level, buildings with thick stone walls and a high pointed roof are the worst, those with a flat roof are much better. The basement of a multi storey block is better than an isolated country cottage. Buildings on a low level and clay are better than those on hills and bedrock.
It helps to spend as much time as possible outdoors, and if practical, to sleep outdoors.
Laying down has also been reported to increase the Hum level, many find an increase the moment their heads touch the pillow and some can only get sleep sitting in a chair.
Toxins are removed from the body by normal daily activities, the most important time for Hum sufferers is during the hours of sleep, when after 3-4 hours the toxins reach a critical level. At this point the sufferer must make the effort to get out of bed and lower the toxin level with some form of exercise. Failure to remove the toxins will result in returning to a disrupted sleep with disturbing dreams, possible hallucinations, nausea, headaches and overheating.
Food and drink is another important factor, especially that consumed during the evening. Heavy evening meals should be avoided, also tea, coffee and drinks containing caffeine or alcohol.
Keep in mind that you are trying to control and lessen the effects of a self induced poison
