UNIVERSITY COLLEGE
Jitsu Club
Club Closure
It is with the utmost regret that I have been forced to close the club at this time. Those of you who have trained at the club will be aware of many of the problems we have had with the college in the past, both random long term closures of the facilities without warning and the loss of our second session last year. Despite these problems we soldiered on and managed to consistently achieve the brilliant grading results and matain a club which was as lively off the mat as on it. Unfortunatly the college authorities have taken it upon themselves to hammer the final nail in our coffin, at least for the time being, by denying us the use of any suitable facilities. As we discovered last year there are no other suitable facilities in the High Wycombe area and so as we are, for the time being homeless, the club has had to be suspended pending the availability of suitable facilities.
In the mean time many of us will be continuing our training at Brunel University Jitsu Club where I trained before starting the BCUC Jitsu Club and we will be trying our best to arrange transport for all those wanting to train there too.
The past four years teaching at BCUC have been very enjoyable for me and hope for many of you also and I look forward for an oportunity to return to teaching there when the college regains its' senses and to training with many of you at Brunel in the mean time.
