It was an age ago that I went to the Chatham, but finally here are the pictures that I took. It has taken a long time to get them done, but Sepas has made a lovely job of them. It was Robert's first proper look at a number of kit cars, rather than just the pictures in the magazines, he was rather impressed.
The Chatham show was on a lovely Sunday, or at least I went on the
Sunday. There were so many cars crammed into the show halls, but the real jams were
outside in the club areas. It didn't take long to find the Furies, all gleaming and
looking good. I'm not sure who's car this is but it is such a good example of a fury, with
one hell of a good paint job done on it.
Not all the kits there were quite so nice, there was this one which I am
a little doubtful about. I'm sure that the owner of it loves it to bits, but I don't quite
think that it's me!
Back inside there was the lovely new Fisher Fury Le-Mans. This has the new
front that is a lot more rounded, and gives a lovely side profile. From the driving seat
the whole thing looks a lot more polished. This, I think, updates the design of the car,
but still keeps it's classic look. It is not quite so sleek as the old design, and indeed
can make the car look a little squat. However, I've gone for that design for my car due to
the lovely curves. One of the things I had against the old bonnet was that the bulges were
a little to abrupt where they met the body. This has been fixed by the new style.

You may be able to see from these two pictures
what I'm on about. The one on the left is the new shape, the one on the right, the old
one. There is another difference, since the new bonnet is on the Spyder car rather than
the Fury. But you should still get the idea.
Well that was my first Chatham show. Very good it was too, since I saw lots of lovely cars, and got loads of cheap parts for mine.
