Doo cave - Inward

This large cave was originally two separate caves connected by a passage.  The West cave collapsed during the First World War when a gun battery was fired from above it.   Near the ground there are several boxes cut into the walls, there were used by Lairds to house their pigeons.   There were many markings in the West Doo Cave including a dog, z-rods, and a serpent but none can now be seen.   The East Doo Cave, which can still be entered, has no carvings.  Sand and mud are beginning to block up the visible boxes.
