| David Fisher, from Esso Lubricants, gave a very interesting pair of
presentations: first on lubricants, second on fuel and unleaded petrol.
These topics aroused enough interest that he was unable to tear himself
away from eager questioners until well after 11pm, which was particularly
noble considering he still had a long drive to make.
David, wearing a tie with a suitably Jaguar motif, argued a very strong
case for the benefits of using modern synthetic and semi-synthetic oils
even in old Jaguars, and of the dangers of mixing additives with carefully
manufactured and balanced oils. He then went on to another subject
close to the older car driver's heart - the impending phasing out of leaded
petrol, and its replacement by LRP (lead replacement petrol). |
