There
were something like 150 cars on the JEC's trip to to the Isle of Man in
September 1999, covering most ages of Jaguar. They included one of
only 6 XK-SS sports cars (brought over by the JDHT specially), and one
XK flow over from the US. Events included a reception, a tour of
the island, a hill climb up Snæfell (the police closed the roads
specially), and track driving on the old Jurby airfield.
Whilst not on the region's calendar, a few members went . A generally
excellent affair with a very interesting location, though the weather left
a lot to be desired, as this drenched marshall shows. And the next
picture shows the sheltered waters of the "seaside" at Douglas:
