| The Chelmsford Folk Dance Club dance display team was founded in 1986, holding the first main display at the Inland Waterways festival at Waltham Abbey in 1989. The group also performs Long Sword dances based on traditions taken from the Cleveland village of Boosbeck, and also Garland Dances. Regular venues have included the Chelmsford Spectacular, Bradwell Pilgrimage, Chelmsford Festival Fringe and the Romford and Brentwod Folk Festival. Dances are often performed in aid of various charities and at Retirement Homes. _________________________________________________ |
