Welcome to the Walker family home page. We live in the small village of Pickhill in rural North Yorkshire where we have five acres of land on which we keep pedigree Wensleydale & Shetland sheep, registered section A Welsh ponies and various other animals.

My wife and I have set up The North Yorkshire Smallholders Society for people in the North Yorkshire area. Our aims are to share advice, information,and generally help each other to enjoy our common interest We would like to hear from anyone else who would like to join us. I have been researching our family tree for some years and have included much of the information that I have found on the following pages. I hope that this information will be of use to others researching Walker's in the old North and East Ridings of Yorkshire.
