Kilchurn Castle
On a rocky spur near the head of Loch Awe stands Kilchurn Castle, overlooked by the peaks of Ben Cruachan. It was built by Sir Colin Campbell in the fifteenth century and added to in the following two hundred years.
Kilchurn Castle is managed by Historic Scotland, and Ben Cruachan houses a hydo-electric power station. For details of tours, contact the local Tourist Office
