was away at the Census but Diana, his wife, and family were at home in
Swansea.

- George Townsley (b. 1865, Brotherton), Master of the 'Ida' at Windhill,
Shipley with his wife Sarah - possibly the same George
as the one recorded as born at Hendon, Durham in 1863.

(b 1831), married Fred Perkins, a canal boatman, in 1897. He was the son of
Thomas Perkins another canal boatman.
- Thomas Townsley (b about 1802) was recorded as a former Waterman at the
marriage of George (b 1831) in 1855.
- Walter Townsley (b. 1881, Shipley), son of George
(b 1831), was also a canal boatman prior to World War 1.
