December 2001 Vyrnwy trip
4 Water Rambler members & a new friend ventured to Wales on an Icy weekend in December to paddle the river Vyrnwy. The Dam was open! but not too much! After a cosy evening in the local hostillery (pub) helping the local economy, everyone rose eventually to a 'Nicks' special breakfast. The shuffle was lacking 'bunnies' but as there weren't many paddlers this wasn't too much of a problem. The scenery was fantastic looking down to the river from the road across the top of the dam. Then onto the river. Gets dark quick doesn't it!
