The Solaris daemontools Configuration Scripts is a set of *-conf commands (analogous to tinydns-conf and so forth) for various of the dæmons in Solaris - such as in.rexecd, vold, and rpcbind - that provides an easy way of configuring them to run under Dan Bernstein's daemontools or Gerrit Pape's runit. Manual pages are included, as is a generic start/stop script that can be placed in /etc/init.d.
I've discovered that some of the dæmons in Solaris can not be persuaded to run in the foreground without the use of fghack. Scripts for these dæmons are not included in the package. I've only included scripts for those dæmons that don't need fghack.
This is just something that I knocked together in a scant few spare moments spread over several months. It's not polished. In particular, the manual pages lack instructions on how to edit the supplied /etc/init.d/* scripts to stop Solaris from starting these dæmons in the old manner (such as commenting out the invocation of inetd in /etc/init.d/network, for example). But this shouldn't be hard to work out for yourself.
The distribution archives for The Solaris daemontools Configuration Scripts used to be found on develooper.com, courtesy of Bjoern Hansen, but appear to have disappeared from there. Since my ISP has now increased the amount of web space available to its customers, they are now available here as dt-conf.solaris.1.0.0.tar.gz (5.6 KiB).
