THE EXORCIST
The Exorcist is the story of a twelve year old girl, Regan who becomes possessed by the devil. Her mother, Chris MacNeil finds Regan playing with an ouija board and from then on things start to go pear shaped.
Regan begins acting strangely, outbursts of abusive language, speaking latin (a language she had never studied), and a whole host of unexplainable phenomonon. That is, at least by the medical profession.
In Chris' despair, she turns to a Jesuit Priest, Father Karras, who eventually realises that this is a case for Father Merrin alias The Exorcist.
In my opinion this is truly the best film I have ever seen, it still scares me each time I see it, maybe 'scared' isn't the right word, maybe that should be 'troubled'.
Take a look at the house on Prospect Street as it stands now! (The house on the left, it had a whole false wing built on to it in order to make it adjacent to the steps which are further to the left).
And these are the steps now, covered in graffiti!!!
Exorcist fans travel from all over the place to visit both the house and the steps. Probably why they had a privacy fence constructed around the house!!
