Benula is a substantial stone house, and as it is a bit more spacious than normal Scottish cottages it can accommodate larger groups or families. The light and airy lounge has a welcoming open fire and satellite TV. There is a separate dining room with a pine floor. The large kitchen is fully equipped with all the modern facilities that are needed for self catering including a dishwasher. There is a double bedroom with en-suite shower room, two twins and a single. These provide comfortable sleeping accommodation for 6 or 7 adults and with the use of a sofabed in the study, an additional person can be accommodated. A cot is also available on request. Non-smoking. Well behaved pets can be accepted. See accommodation page.
Benula is situated on the high ground to the north of Kingussie near the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. See map and location page. It sits in its own grounds, laid out mainly with lawns and there are fields behind with a footpath giving access to woodland walks. The golf course is nearby. A gravelled area provides off-street parking for 4 cars and a lockable outbuilding can be used for ski or mountain bike storage.
Kingussie is one of the larger villages in the Cairngorms National Park. It has a number of eating establishments ranging from coffee shops, hotels and restaurants. All of these are within easy walking distance and a short car journey away are restaurants in Insh, Newtonmore and Aviemore.  There are many recreational activities in the Park including walking, skiing, sailing, golf, pony trekking, mountain biking, fishing or visiting the many family attractions such as the Highland Folk Museum and the Landmark Centre. See Kingussie & Cairngorms and weather pages.
