Belton New Road Sports Field
Club members will note that the new building at New Road is nearing
completion and we hope to be able to start using the new facilities by the
end of October.
Our monthly meetings will be held in the community room, hopefully from our next meeting in November, but we will confirm this when the agenda is distributed.
Once we have managed to finalise everything, we will have 2 mini-soccer pitches, a 3/4 11-a-side pitch and a full size 11-a-side pitch there.
The old toilet block will be changed into a small storeage facility for all the 'wet' stuff (nets, marking fluid etc...) and we are currently shopping around for a 40' offshore shipping container to replace our existing 20' version. We need the larger size to house the full size goal posts when they come down in the summer.
There will be a kitchen facility in the new building which will enable us to sell tea, coffee and perhaps to odd bacon roll and cup-a-soups for those cold winter match days. More news on this when the details are all finalised.
Your patience is required while we are in this transitional period, and please continue to liaise with Matt to book your training slots & matches.
Managers are reminded that they must not train in the goal mouths as overuse will wear them out. ALL managers who train at New Road MUST now use other areas of the field and leave the marked out pitch areas alone.
Remember guys, this is your field, and help is
required on a frequent basis to keep it clean and tidy remarking the pitches and litter picking.
Important Note: All managers who use the field MUST notify their parents AND visiting team managers, that the Parish Council has a ‘no dogs’ policy for this
field, and that the club will be enforcing this on the Councils behalf when we are using the field.
This rule, however, does NOT APPLY to registered guide dogs for the blind. Could managers also remind their players, and their opponents, that we
have a no boots policy regarding the new changing rooms and that the
managers are responsible for making sure that no damage occurs while we are
using them.
'Under the terms of Public Liability Insurance, spectators must not stand within 1 meter of the touchline. Should any player obtain an injury through colliding or running into a spectator the person causing the injury as well as the club are totally responsible. This also applies to Parish Council grounds under their Health and Safety policies and insurance'.
BYFC would like to advise all our managers & parents that we should now be adhering to this ruling ASAP.
