William Augustine was born on the 13th November 1884 Eccleshall, Staffordshire. He was the son of Edward & Ellen (nee Hall).
He married Emily Andrews in 1910 and they had five children.
William was killed in action 17th September 1917.
He is buried in Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, Belgium, grave XIX.D.4A.
The photo above was found on William after he died and was returned to his family, the inscription on the rear reads "To my dear little Marjorie with lots of love from" (there is a stain over the rest).
