WYNNE WILLIAMS - Arweinydd / Conductor

 

 

Cychwynodd Wynne chwarae'r corned ym mand Trefor yn 1967, a bu'n brif gornedwr y band am yn agos i ddeunaw mlynedd.Ymunodd â Seindorf Beaumaris a bu yno am ddeng mlynedd, gan chwarae corned ac yn ddiweddarach y ffliwgal. Am gyfnod bu hefyd yn arwain band Porthaethwy.

Dros y blynyddoedd gweithiodd gyda ieuenctid y bandiau lleol, megis Biwmares, Llanrug, Nantlle, Porthaethwy, Trefor ac wrth gwrs, yma'n Neiniolen.

Er iddo roi oriau maith o wasanaeth i fandiau pres yr ardal mae ganddo brofiad eang ym myd cerddoriaeth,o grwpiau pop i fyd theatr a theledu.

Ar hyn o bryd mae Wynne yn gweithio fel tiwtor offerynnau pres yng Ngwynedd i Wasanaeth Ysgolion William Mathias ac hefyd yn diwtor pres/sacsaffon yn ysgol roc, Cwmni Tref Caernarfon.

Wynne started playing cornet with the Trefor Band in 1967, where he was Principal Cornet for approximately 18 years. He then joined the Beaumaris Band, where he remained for 10 years playing the cornet and more recently, the flugel horn. During this period, Wynne was also the conductor of the Menai Bridge Band.

Over the years, he has worked with the youth members of the bands at Beaumaris, Llanrug, Nantlle, Menai Bridge, trefor, and of course, Deiniolen.

Even though he has given years of service to the brass band movement, Wynne has a vast experience within the wider world of music – ranging from pop music to musical theatre, and films.

Presently, Wynne is a brass tutor in Gwynedd with the William Mathias School, and is also a brass and saxophone tutor for Cwmni Tref Caernarfon.
