Daisies!

This is my necklace called Daisies, which I made for the 2005 Challenge for the Beadworkers Guild.

I have not made anything this year, you know how it is sometimes, the time passes and then suddenly it is too late.

But I will hopefully get started soon on whatever it is called for 2007.

Tessa bracelet

This bracelet I did on a one day class with Tessa Halfpenney in December 2005, it was a very enjoyable day, it is freeform, and we have all done completely different bracelets, and of course we all were able to buy Halfpenneys beads as well.

She will be sadly missed.

It is so easy to go different ways with this stitch! This Spiral is in a  green mix of different types of beads, and different sizes in a Peyote Spiral that I love doing, I have done one in purples as well which is in the Gallery.

As you will notice when you check my jewellery, there is a lot of green in it!

Clementine

This is a necklace I made to go onto the Beadworkers Guild Stand for 2006. This years theme is "Citrus". I am going through a period of herringbone and fringing!

Website link for BWG is below.

I hope you like it, its really bright orange, summery colours.

I have one in Pinks as well that I did for last years stand. When I get a good photo of it I will put it in my website.

Elegance

Lilac double Spiral

This is just the straight forward double spiral which is lovely when it is finished but it does take time to make.

Marble Egg

I made this when I was at college, really enjoyed the classes. I had to put a little beaded Daffodil on it, which was lovely to make.

Snake Lariat

... which I designed from a idea I had of a "snake in the grass", it was done for my City and Guilds, and it had to be related to the garden or our fields behind our house, so I thought snake, I designed it on paper and then, did it in peyote spiral, he has his tongue hanging out, and his food on his tail!!

Green Spiral

This is one of my City and Guild spirals that I did, it has bugles plus a lot of seed beads in it, looks nice on though, hope you like it.

Red Tango

This is my red tango necklace - it developed into a necklace bit by bit. It started off as a Brooch, and I just kept adding bits to it. I am really happy with the look of it when it is on. It is done in a variety of different sizes of beads, mainly seed beads, but quite a lot of odd sizes of  beads added.

This is a bracelet I made in netting, but I did a freeform mix of different beads, I used charlottes in it and also triangles, but plenty of seed beads. It was very enjoyable to make.

This Lariat is over 36 inches long, it is just a block of peyote and then I made rows to join them up, I have used some beautiful tiny  lilac lined beads, then the fringing is added, crystals etc. added, it is quite long, so I knot it when I wear it.

Purple Agate

The necklace above is a beautiful streaked agate in purple. With freeform flowers, and added leaf beads. The strap is in a mix of purple and silvery purple size 11 seed  beads, in a netting spiral, when I can get a better photo of it I will swap them. This does not do the colour mix of the beads justice.

This is one of my earlier necklaces which I would like to repeat, but you know how it is, something else comes along, and it gets put in the long lines of "will do" it is a netting spiral, with a knot made in peyote and added, I did try having a fringe, but did not like it.

The necklace above is one of my City and Guilds pieces. I had to design a pattern on graph paper for Lattice Stitch, and mine was taken from colours in my garden. Also added are cat beads, because at that time we had about six cats running around our garden. Sorry to say, we have not got them now, but do have two miniature Long haired dachshounds!!
