an orb is a perfect sphere, which is the shape in sacred geometry in which a maximum content can be contained within a minimum surface area. therefore it is conceivable that this is a tangible shape for a spirit to contain itself for  travel.

these orbs surround two hawthorn trees which are sacred trees in faery lore. it should be noted that differing sizes of orbs, with differing intensities are present, which may represent a variety of spiritual energies.
