February Painting

The Blitzkrieg Commander games are keeping me enthused - another good month for painting.

Twenty-five bases of 10mm WW2 French this month. I have painted another infantry battalion (9 infantry, 2 machine guns, 2 mortars and 2 anti-tank guns) and a medium armoured battalion (9 S35 tanks, and a 10th on a round base as an HQ). The figures are Pithead.

I've also started with a few odd Germans - a couple of Dragon / Can-do StuGs and some sort of tracked artillery piece. I wasn't sure whether to collect British or Germans as my second force - allies or enemies - but I decided that an opposing force was probably more useful. An armoured division with Pz38(t)s is going to be first on the wish-list.

The divers were a give-away at the club - I can't remember who was clearing their dead-lead pile, but these are Scheltrum figures. They were deep-sea divers, but I'm adding them to my WW1/Pulp collection - I have another half-dozen to paint up, including one with an open hand... a pirate flag on a pole, perhaps?
