May Painting

I promised pirates, and pirates I have. Yarr.

The 'Legends of the High Seas' campaign starts next week, and as my wife was taking a school residential trip this month, I was able to leave my painting stuff set up for the week. I still haven't sorted out a ship for the games yet, but the pirates are ready. I have enjoyed painting something which is vaguely historical; it leaves me quite tempted to paint up a unit of Napoleonics or something similar. I think I need to go and lie down.

Pirates. Yarr.

All from the Black Scorpion ranges; these come from packs Pirates 1 and Pirates 2. I have a couple more to complete at some point.

More pirates. More Yarr.

Again, Black Scorpion; this time they are from packs Rogues 1 and Rogues 2. Fourteen painted pirates in total is more than enough for a starting crew.

A pirate raft and cannon.

The raft was made from BBQ skewers and lolly sticks, lashed together with thin wire; guess who thinks his ship's going to sink very early! The cannon was from Black Cat.

A pirate raft and cannon.

Oh, and I also painted a 1/144 Stuka for Phil at Warlords, who's collecting a German army for BKC; no decent picture, I'm afraid, just this from the phone.
