Your paintings show amazing painstaking attention to detail and at their
displayed size it’s easy to imagine that they are photographs. Your colours
are flawless and your composition is very strong with your subjects not
traditionally posed, but observed. Meaning, it’s more like how they
would actually appear in nature in those very rare special moments rather then
how they would appear in some studio setting. In essence, you expertly
offer tender glimpses into the beauty of nature. Carlos Cruz.

Still
Moment was created in my mind whilst I was observing this wolf. It was
within feet of me, and looked past me as if I was not there. I truly
think that for the wolf, I wasn't. Not part of his world, and
unimportant. I wanted to recreate that moment in the wild, a wolf doing
what it does most, observing its environment for anything of interest to
it. This is a moment when we enter the wolves world, It will never be
the other way round.
'Still
in Velvet' mixed media giclee print, 300mm x 380mm.

Still
in Velvet is a mixed media painting of a fallow deer just before the
time the deer scrape the velvet from their antlers. This male I was able
to photograph a the deer sanctuary in the new forest. The deer was
backlit and so were the ferns which had a stunning under glow where the
light caught them. I loved painting the antlers .
'Gold
Rush' mixed media giclee print, 750mm x 540mm.

Gold
Rush is a painting I have been wanting to do for a long time ,I finally
indulged myself. I have painted it purely because I wanted to see if I
could. painting rocks was the next thing I needed to learn . This river
I found in Saxeton ,Switzerland and it seemed perfect for raccoons ,
they love water and are maintaining a stronghold on the continent. I
researched their natural habitat to ensure that this scene could and
would appear in their natural habitat. Raccoons are usually nocturnal
and often alone but this pair were sunbathing when I took their photo
and this is something raccoons occasionally do. I named this picture
Gold Rush because of the colour and velocity of the stream .Although not
a torrent it had energy, which the raccoons didn't. They barely could be
bothered to open their eyes. I enjoyed capturing the gold reflections of
the stream on the rocks and capturing its changing textures as it
travelled through the rocks from left to right , and down.
