Your paintings show amazing painstaking attention to detail and at their
displayed size it’s easy to imagine that they are photographs. Your colours
are flawless and your composition is very strong with your subjects not
traditionally posed, but observed. Meaning, it’s more like how they
would actually appear in nature in those very rare special moments rather then
how they would appear in some studio setting. In essence, you expertly
offer tender glimpses into the beauty of nature.

Norfolk Marshes is a watercolour that I believe caught the stillness and
flatness of the marshes. Painted from my own photograph when I was there
on holiday. It was a lazy sunny Sunday and we had just had a filling pub
meal. |

Swiss
mountain snow shadows is a watercolour of the Jungfrau massif in the
Bernese Oberland of Switzerland. Behind the nearest peak in the picture
starts the highest railway in Europe which travels through the Eiger
mountain on the left by tunnel up to the Jungfraujoch and the Aletsch
glacier and ice palace. This area is now a UNESCO site due to the
uniqueness of the area. The original photo for this picture was taken in
December after a cable car ride through the lower cloud layer. The
stillness and absolute quiet of the day made this scene special. Painted looking from a ridge at the base of the Eiger, Monarch and Jungfrau massif in Switzerland this image captured me with its clarity |

Mist
After Rainfall is exactly that. The mountains are obscured by the mist
rising off them caused by a fairly heavy but short shower over hot
rocks. Soon after this the sky cleared again. |

Whilst
walking back from a long trek in the mountains in Switzerland I was
confronted by this view. The foreground and mid-distance were in shadows
of the mountains behind me but the Jungfrau, Monarch and Eiger where in
full sunset colours. It was a truly captivating experience after a hard

sat sketching this on a hot summers day whilst on holiday. Visiting
Studland Bay my husband and children had left me in peace to get the ice
cream. I tried to capture the heat and stillness of the day whilst
keeping to the natural colours and tones of a dune landscape |

Between
Passes is a finely detailed atmospheric watercolour with a story behind
it, please see my mini gallery interview for the amusing details. The
picture is of the area between Hard Knott pass and another I forget the
name of in the English lake district. It was a rainy overcast day until
the moment I took the photos for this painting when the sun just started
to glow hazily through the clouds. A very peaceful and quiet place. |

is a watercolour of one of a trio of mountains forming the Jungfrau
Massif in the Bernese Oberland of Switzerland. In this picture I used a
new type of paper to my usual and some new paint colours in the sky . I
love the effect I got. |
