Whatever time of the year you visit there is always something fresh to see. A rare site but beautiful all the same. During the winter months the Eden Project has an undercover out door Ice Skating Rink. The multi coloured lit Biomes lend a beautiful backdrop for the Eden Sessions. A wonderful venue that hosted one of the LIVE8 concerts as well as big name bands. You will find sculptures like this one dotted throughout the Eden Project. This work of art is made out of old pieces of wood. Tim Smitt was also the brains behind the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Beautiful, formal gardens and amazing grounds. Although both privately owned Caerhays Castle & Porthluney beach are open to the public. The castle is spectacular while the beach is the locals best kept secret...ssshh! The historical village of charlestown is where we always recommend our guests for an evening meal, after why not take a stroll around the harbour to see the tall ships and spectacular views. Cornwall was one of the richest mining areas in the world and at its height the Cornish tin mining industry had around 600 steam engines working to pump out the mines. By far one of the best stately homes in all of Cornwall, owned by the National Trust. A magnificent late Victorian country house with extensive servants quarters, gardens and wooded estate. The grandest and most welcoming house in Cornwall, Lanhydrock is superbly set in 450 acres of woods and parkland running down to the Fowey river and encircled by formal and wooded gardens.
A traditional Cornish fishing village, where you can wander the narrow alleyways, browse gift shops & Art galleries, have a fine dinner in one of the excellent restaurants and finally a walk around the moon lit harbour. The picture says it all, golden sand with a softly sloping shoreline set in a sheltered cove. A beautiful beach with places to eat & Gift shops in the village next to the beach. Founded by Walter Hick in 1851 as a wine merchants and started brewing in 1860, this brewery is still in the ownership of the same family. Set in 26 acres of woodland and the grounds of two former working China Clay Pits providing visitors with a fascinating insight into the history of the China Clay Industry.
