ONE INCH SCOTLAND, 1st, 2nd & 3rd EDITIONS.

Though the whole of mainland Scotland was surveyed 1747-1755 -after the "45 Rebellion" !- and "fair copies" survive, the maps were never published. A further survey of 1845-78 produced the first Scottish 1" map in 1856. There is thus no Old/New distinction in the First Edition as in E & W, but the Second and Third Editions correspond.
