Sinister Symphony
A relatively festive collection of chance-based pieces.
Tracklisting
1. Isomorphism - an isometric piece for haunted organ which for some inexplicable reason asserts that it senses its (own) consciousness. Haven't a clue how or why - probably just a random illusion
2. Organic doo-doos - an organically-structured chance-based piece lasting 24 minutes for apparently tonal counterpoint
3. Barcarola - a soft and gentle interlude for bell-like noises and soft sustained notes in the middle register.
4. The Leaden Echo - well all good symphonies need a vocal movement. Text by Gerard Manley Hopkins.
5. Sinister Symphony - carrying on the Mahlerian theme, except all the music events are generated by chance. Percussion is particularly Zen.
6. Trickle Schmickle - how better to end a symphony than with a water analogy? This is the looped pouring of a vodka and coke with more aurally 'relevant' events spliced on to distract us from how much it makes us want a wee.
Cover Art
Cover Art is by an amazingly excellent artist who did not want to be formally credited. However if you are interested in seeing more of her work, I can always pass her your details. I can't however hand out her details. Hope you understand. This is a necessary credit as I couldn't possibly pass it off as my own work. Extremely great and very helpful in my psychological self-awareness in 2005!! Not that this "Fidel" character is ME, you understand!!!!!
