Help!

Video Case
Two
Pauls
During
the sequence for 'You're Gonna Lose That Girl', watch closely just
after the instrumental as the chorus is being played. The camera
cuts to Ringo playing the drums and, in the background, we can see
Paul playing the piano. Nothing unusual with this you might say,
but if you were watching the video up to that point you'd have quite
clearly seen Paul playing bass and sharing a backing vocals mic
with George. And then, after we see Paul playing piano, the shot
cuts to show him back at the backing vocals mic with George. Why
is the music sequence showing us two Pauls, and why does the Paul
at the piano give Ringo a sly nod and a wink? |

The
Footprints
As the Beatles are cycling away from the religious cult, they decide
to turn around, go back and "smash 'em" unaware that the
cult leader has set up a 'Beatle trap'. When they arrive at the
scene Paul suddenly jumps down and lies on the floor next to a series
of blood-red footprints. A possible light-hearted reference to the
bloody crash site?
The Part
As Paul is lying on the ground next to the blood red footprints,
George says to him, "Okay, you've got the part, Paul."
What part is he talking about? Was this George confirming William
as the new choice? Was calling him Paul a kind of seal of approval? |
