After working first in Magistrates' Courts and then in the Theatre, Keith Owen attended the Welsh School of Musical Instrument Making and Repair, leaving in 1983 having been awarded the College Diploma with Distinction. He and his wife Janis moved to Stratford-upon-Avon the same year since when he has continued to provide piano tuning and repair services in and around South Warwickshire.  He is a Member of the Pianoforte Tuners' Association.

 His customers include Schools, Music Teachers, Music Societies and Festivals, The Royal Shakespeare Theatre and the National Trust, as well as many private homes.

 He sings tenor with two choral groups.
