The Achensee is a lake in the
Karwendel Ranges of the eastern Tirol. The
Tirol is located in the western side of Austria and bounded by Germany to the
north, Liechtenstein to the west, and Italy to the south.
To reach Pertisau by public transport, the easiest route is to take a
train to Jenbach, in the Inn valley at the foot of the ranges, and from there
take a bus or taxi up to the Achensee (see Getting there).
