"Make Northallerton a Fairtrade Town"

	A "World Trade and Justice" group meet regularly at Northallerton United Reformed Church.

We run a Traidcraft Stall in the Church and at the moment are trying to encourage Northallerton to be a Fair Trade Town. We regularly support an orphanage in Malawi, and a retired minister in our Church, Rev. Malcolm Smith has been heading a "Tools for Africa" campaign.

We strongly support Commitment for Life and Christian Aid raising and giving many hundreds of pounds each year to these bodies.

We regularly lobby Government officials and our local M.P. for fairer world training conditions and are linked with PARC (Palestinian Agricultural Relief Community) .

We support LEPRA, and other world wide charities and keep a strong awareness to the fore with regard to Christian Missionary work in the world.
