Northallerton United Reformed Church is deeply involved with "Green" issues.
We were recently the first church in the North East to be awarded the Green Congregation Title from ENCAM working in association with "Going for Green Movement" A group of Church members meets regularly to encourage the members of the church and members of the Northallerton Community to care for the world and its resources. We pursue an energy saving life style at the Church and in many of our homes.

Recycling is a high priority for the Church and its members.
We have planted several hundred new trees on local sites and involved young people from a local school and from the local squadron of the Air Training Corps with the projects. This year, working in with the local Town Council, we have recently placed Bird and Bat boxes on the church site and in the local Applegarth Parkland.
