Northallerton United Reformed Church has a strong sense of its role to the needy in the local community. Our minister was responsible for starting a Churches Together Meal Ticket system for those who come to us in need of food.
We also run a Church Pantry which is distributed by all the local organisations who have needy folk come to them. We house the Churches Together "Contact" group which helps broken families to meet in a non aggressive atmosphere every other Saturday morning. We run a parent and toddler time each week which is there for any but is open to those who cannot afford to pay the fees that a more commercial organisation might charge. We help the local Voluntary Services Group with some of their outreach into the community as well. | |
