Ady
(Kung-foo ken)
Chief Mechanic
A very good friend of Leighton's for the past 7 years and fellow road
rider. He’s the taekwondo master of the team. You will find him
mostly eating and saying “yeh I can kick real high but not with
these trousers on!”. Most dangerous whilst making lunch in the paddock
for the boys, don't mention the pork pie and knife incident...... Well
it was a good excuse not to mix any more fuel that day as he'd lost half
his finger!
A full time member who dedicates a lot of effort to ensuring our bikes
are spot on (well as best as they can be any way).
Full time Occupation: Electrical Engineer

Sandy
Administration and sandwich maker
Partner to our rider and mother to his children; her special skills stretch
to suggesting that Leighton "Just take it easy and be careful",
just as he leaves the paddock to race.
She really is a full time member of the team and supplies the best morale
and cups of tea! This could not happen without her support (and approval!).

Leighton
Walker
Rider/second mechanic
It has been known for Leighton to be fixing his own bike, even on the
start line! Regularly forgets
to tell team members when he's going to chop the engine and ends up pushing
his bike for 3 miles back to the transporter following a test session.
If things aren't going well in camp please approach with caution.
Bit of a messy worker
but gets the job done none the less.

Richard
(Elmo)
Suspension technician
A very good friend of Leighton's for the past 15 years and fellow road
rider. He is well known for his ability to completely wreck anything with
an engine, which includes:
· A huge crash on board a TZR125 at the age of 17 straight into
a nice yellow Metro (broken bones included)!
· A crash into a deer on board the same machine (plus I believe
another 3 on the same machine).
· Dropping his mates FZR600
· Crashing an FZR400 on the way home from buying it!
· Rolling a lovely Nova 3 times on a straight road (and landing
on the wheels!) No questions please.
· He also got hit in the leg by a flying piece of steel whilst
riding pillion, fell off the back and broke his leg!
A part time member
who helps out when he can.

John
Socialite and morale booster
A very good friend of Leighton's for the last 22 years.
He has managed to roll Elmo's car! (no, not the same car and no questions
again). John is also a dab hand at drinking beer, Having all stayed in
the team caravan (Mallory) overnight and a lack of morning refreshments,
John started back on the beer at 07.30hrs! Oh and enjoys chasing taxi's,
sadly this past time had to end when he slipped and split his eye on a
kerb mid sprint! Mad man who can make anyone laugh!
Another part time member of the squad that comes along whenever he's not
fixing something in his house.

Neil
Philosopher on the
art of motorcycle racing.
Neil runs his own motorcycle training school and can tell you the theory
behind riding and racing bikes. Why did I fall off? Why aren't I going
fast enough? Where should I be on the track? etc. These questions are
just a few that have been answered by him. He has the practical experience
too as Neil has ridden bikes all his life along with being a successful
racer himself. He is also now an instructor for the Ron Haslam race school.
Every team needs this type of guy to state sometimes what you already
feared to be true.

Evan
2nd Mechanic
Brother of Leighton who is renowned for his ability to sleep, lose and
forgetting things. He has been known to still be fast asleep 10 minutes
before the first race, "I love these lazy Saturdays! DOH!" He's
a a petrol head through and through and drives a Isuzu Trooper, Volvo
850R, Volvo 850, VW Vento and a V6 calvalier. Not one of them is perfect
because in this mans hands anything can be broken.
He is there doing the job at almost every meeting, how could we possibly
run without him. But watch your back when the electric fly swatter is
about!
