July 2003

This website is dedicated to my daughter Leanne Spencer.

Dear Leanne.....

This is the last photograph given to me by your Mum. It was taken at nursery school in Wales where you lived for a short time. I hope that one day you'll come across this website and know that your Dad is out there and that he loves and misses you very much. When things didn't work out between me and your Mum I'd hoped that our days out and weekends together would continue, I suppose I hoped for too much. But I'm still here Leanne. At the bottom of this page is a link to my email should you want to write to me, there is also a guest book you can sign, put your Mums middle names at the end of the messageas so that I know it's really you. If your Mum has any messages for me then she can also sign the guest book, it's about time we acted liked adults, after all, you are our daughter and you have the right to know us both. I still have your birth certificate and the parental responsibility order given to me by the courts.

Your Mum changed your name from Spencer to Lewis. Lewis was always a name she liked. Then she got married ,and so your name changed again, now your known as Leanne Ward. To me you'll always be a Spencer though Leanne , just like me, it's the name your Mum and I gave to you when we registered your birth, the name on your birth certificate.

Since we last saw each other you've had two new cousins Harry and Jack, as well as your little sisters. Nannie, Grandad and cousin Emma miss you too and send their love.

I've got so much to tell you about the past, so many plans for the future. Holidays you've missed, Christmas's and birthdays. I still have the childrens music cassette we used to play, I'd sing the worms song to you on the way back home to Wales and you'd giggle.

"....think I'll go and eat worms. Bite their heads off, yum they're lovely, throw their tails away...."

I suppose your more into Eminem and the Black Eyed Peas these days!

toys a ride in your baby walker

Well, here goes Leanne. This is me, your Dad with Matt Hayes.

And here I am in my younger days with Richie Woodhall

Well Leanne, 9 years have passed, that's alot of water under the bridge as us oldies say!
Your Mum and I have both got older and wiser. The past 'is' the past and the future is bright....(but not orange) that's just a myth created by a mobile phone network!

SATURDAY JUNE 24TH 10:30am

This morning at 10:30am we met for the first time in 9 years3 months and 15 hours!
Your Mom pushed a note through our letterbox with your address and phone numbers on it. It said we could see each other whenever we like. You sent me a text message with a
photgraph of you attached. "Hi Dad, this is me"

I found out you like swimming and iceskateing and you play the cornet. You don't like vegetables, you can speak a little bit of Welsh and you go to Secondary school just 3 miles from my house. You like music, but nobody in particular, you listen to whatever your Mom listens to.

I'm looking forward to getting to know you and spending time with you, hope you are too.
