A fine sunny, warm, humid evening
and Spotty Dog was first on scene who promptly parked and changed.......
|
As the sun dipped behind the
Teindland Forest the hashers gathered with the Orton cottages white and
clear on the road leading to the Boat O' Brig....... |
They lined up as Tutti Fruiti had
her accounts to hand for the details of the run from GM who had
auspiciously laid the trail between showers earlier......It would be
short, with interesting venues and scenery, wet underfoot in places with
some back checks and 3 and y'r on........
|
First over the Stripes Burn was Spotty Dog closely followed by Mr Rusty who is still getting over his invitation to rejoin the mob at Lossie as they are so short of qualified manpower..... |
In typical hash splash style, Dog
Biscuit cooled his feet.....
|
Under the road bridge, the ground
was clear for passage........ |
In true EH3 'it must be this wye',
they retraced the alternative start route and took to the road.......
|
And challenged the hay field to
find the spoor...... |
To find the fence line trail......
|
This led to a farm track down hill
round Collie Farm. Tutti Fruiti, Mr Blue Sky and Hot Rod flew on..... |
While Dog Biscuit, Spotty Dog and
Dark Horse caught up.......
|
After their long back check from
the Dundurcas farm track..... |
Meanwhile Hot Rod found the burn edge up the side of the garden route successfully.........
|
As did Blue Sky....... |
And Mr Rusty.......
|
However Spotty Dog was nonplussed
arriving back at the burn, as Running Sore had questioned the arrangements
for the Footbridge/burn/garden trail obviously unaware that GM had cleared
with the resident that afternoon prior to laying the trail....... |
Dark Horse and Tutti Fruiti were
also miffed at being told they should not follow the trail.........
|
No mention of the challenge on Running Sore's comprehension of a trail from the Mighty River Spey, up the side of a cleared route along the burn side garden by the house....... |
On On they strove under the Boat
O' Brig. Under both iron constructions bridging the Mighty River Spey for
road and rail ......
|
And back to admire the girder
constructions ...... |
Then a traipse through the
undergrowth into the warm, humid evening.....
|
Missing mangled monster pea
shooters ...... |
Mr Blue Sky chortled at the
check.......
|
And on they trudged by the North
side of the rail track...... |
![]() Now Ciderman is in Rosyth.....so Running Sore took some liberties as observed by Dark Horse......to congratulate Tutti Fruiti.....
|
So back for the circle chat, where Mr Blue Sky's wife had walked the dogs and Run 1282 was complete before a shower tinkled the hash...........On On |
