Tatty is the original grumpy old man, my first cat whom I hand fed from 4 weeks old. He is definately not impressed with all the ‘females’ around and grumbles to himself when they tease him. The birmans find him fascinating, and haven’t yet worked out that the hissing is a message about leaving him alone, thus he retreats (with hasty dignity) to the garden. |

Twinkle provided my first experiences in cat breeding when she unexpectedly produced a litter at 9 months old. Her very pretty kittens were found wonderful pet homes, before she was neutered. She also provided my first showing experience, in the household pet section winning her Open, being described as ‘a very pretty girl with the longest of whiskers and a very sweet temperament’. Despite the wonderful comments from her judges she was ‘not amused’ with the proceedings and due to the 2 day ‘huff’ she went into on returning home, she won’t be attending again! |

Rollo is the only non-feline furry member of the family. She loves the cats and kittens, (apart from when an exceptionally large number of kittens decided her bed was better than theirs, resulting in a very sad dog). Although she appears quite large in the photo she is actually rather ‘vertically challenged’ being taller when sitting than standing. A very insensitive vet once referred to her as a ‘staffordshire sausage’, kinder people call her a genuine heinz as no part of her body matches another. But whatever she is, we love her anyway! |
