The barometer is 94 cm tall by 24 cm wide. The case is cut from a solid plank of 1" oak . At the top is a 70 mm diameter hygrometer which indicates humidity. The brass aneroid barometer is 180 mm in diameter incorporating a bevelled glass. Both instruments are very high quality made in Germany. The mercury thermometer is fixed to a solid brass scale 320 cm tall with antique style engraved markings. Most barometers you will see are fitted with cheaper, lesser quality instruments, but I believe in fitting the best available to mine. The case is hand oiled and waxed in PGM tradition and this barometer would complement any of the PGM clock range. |
