This elegant Vienna regulator is 147 cm high, 32 cm wide and 21 cm deep. It is made from solid oak throughout, including the back. The heavy half spindles on the door are really impressive. The case is hand oiled and waxed to give a rich, deep finish. The German movement is of the very highest quality, 8-day, weight-driven by cables and pulleys. The cables are wound by a cranked key that fits into the front of the dial. The 180 mm real enamelled dial is fitted with a seconds hand. The large grid-iron pendulum has a 14 cm diameter brass bob. The movement strikes once on the half hour and counts the hours on a single coil gong. It has a selectable automatic night silence which silences the gong between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. |
