The Wayford
This enchanting little clock is just 147 cm (58") tall, 36 cm (14") wide and 22 cm (9") deep. It is made of solid oak throughout and the proportions are approximately two-thirds scale of the Hughenden.
The eight-day German movement has two weights on cables, one driving the hands and the other driving a gong strike. This strikes the number of hours on the hour and once on the half hour. The cables are wound with a cranked brass winding handle through holes in the front of the dial.
The one piece solid oak door is fitted with a brass lock and escutcheon. The case is hand oiled and waxed to produce the rich deep glow typical of PGM clocks and it reveals the full beauty of the grain.
This clock is ideal for those who would like to own a longcase clock but don't quite have the space for the full size version.
