The Whitchurch bracket clock is 39 cm tall, 31 cm wide and 21 cm deep. The case is solid oak throughout and is fitted with hand-turned oak finials. The rear hinged door has a raised and fielded panel, making the clock look attractive from any angle (it does not have to be placed against a wall). The 8-day movement is spring driven with Westminster chimes which sound on every quarter hour and it has a manual silence facility. A triple chime movement (Westminster, Whittington and Westminster) fitted with an automatic night silence is also available. The case is hand oiled and waxed resulting in not just a clock, but a very attractive piece of furniture. |
