There are a number of walks around Althone which take in the various tourist attractions including the Castle. The house is ideally situated for walking in the countryside but please do remember to show some consideration for those around you. Roscommon has a formidable 18 hole championship golf course. The feature holes are the 9th and 13th which are both water holes.
