How Far is the House from the Major Airports?
A: It is approximately 2 hours from Dublin and 11/2 from Knock.

How Far is the House from the Coast?
A : It is approximately 1 - 11/2 hours to Galway.

How Far is the House from the nearest Town?
A: The town of Athlone is a pleasant 15 minute drive.

Do You Allow Pets?
A: We do not allow pets as we wish our house to be free from the pet hairs as
several of us are allergic to dogs and cats. Our neighbours
dog is exceedingly friendly and likes to make friends with any visitors.

Why No Smoking?
A: We are all non-smokers and would like to keep our house a smoke free
environment.

Where is the Nearest Pub?
A : The nearest pub is Coffeys and is approximately a 10 minute walk
from the house or a 5 minute drive.

Where is the Nearest Shop?
A : The nearest shop is Coffeys and is approximately a 10 minute walk
from the house or a 5 minute drive.

Can More than 6 People Stay?
A : The house can accommodate more than 6 people depending on your exact
requirements although additional charges will apply.

Are Weekend Rentals Available?
A :Weekend rates are available. Please contact us for further details.

Are Longer Rental Periods Available?
A : People wishing to rent the house for longer periods of time should contact us to discuss
their individual requirements. All circumstances will be considered.

Is smoking in public allowed?
A : Smoking in confined public places is not allowed e.g. Pubs, Restaurants and Shops.

Is petrol cheaper in Ireland?
A : Petrol is generally cheaper in Ireland than the UK.

Do I need to take my passport or a visa?
A : UK citizens do not require a visa or passport to enter Ireland but several air/sea travel
companies require that travellers require identification with a photograph. A drivers license
or passport is generally acceptable although it is advisable to check with the company you
are travelling with in case they have any specific requirements.

What is the currency?
A : The currency in the republic of Ireland is the Euro.

What is the legal drinking age?
A : The legal drinking age in Ireland is 18 years of age although
some establishments will only admit people over 21 years.
