Welcome! ... and thank you for visiting my gallery.
My main photographic interest is in wildlfe and landscapes.
I have been a member of Ealing and Hampshire House Photographic Society
for many years and
I regularly enter their club competitions.
However, I do enjoy interacting with animals much more than taking "competition standard"
photographs (well, that's my story, anyway!).
My philosophy has always been that there's no point going to work all year if I can't go somewhere exotic to photograph wildlife...
so that's how I spend my holidays.
Most of the pix shown here would struggle in a club competition, but so what(?)...
I enjoyed taking them!
All but one of these pix were taken with my 8 megapixel Olympus digital camera, which has an optical zoom range of between 28 and 140mm
(based on the 35mm equivalent).
The animal photos were generally taken using the 140 mm end of the zoom. Some have received a little
jiggery-pokery, for better or for worse, from
Paint Shop Pro. I now have five galleries, please feel free to browse.
Tesco kindly provides me with 15mb of free webspace, which fills up very quickly!
As it becomes time consuming to take galleries down,
change the html and the links and put new ones up, I have decided to splash out and rent 400mb of space on pbase.com .
I will use this extra space to upload pix a little faster than I have been doing so far. In particular, I now have some pix of Namibia plus a winter safari to
Pretoria, the Limpopo district and the North West district of South Africa .... as well as a short walk round London.
I will endeavour to add some more galleries soon.
so keep watching these spaces
....(but no promises!)
