| Here's a stylish thing with a bit of age to it. This is not the first version
of the Mc.Michael Duplex 4 battery set, but it's got a prettier speaker fret. This is a four valve battery
portable with built-in speaker and aerial. It's a nicely made thing and it'll be lovely when you get it
all sorted out. A nice project! There are moans. The back panel is missing, but that often happens to battery
radios because of the need to change the accumulator weekly. It has some woodworm, which I have just treated,
but it'll be worth keeping an eye on the little gits to make sure they're very dead. Their holes will wax in
OK, and they haven't compromised the strength of the wood. The speaker cloth is shot to bits. You're going
to end up changing that. There are no more moans, though. Basically, it's an old thing, a stylish thing,
well worth having, and it's priced to reflect the missing back and the worm holes!
