I originally compiled this site for my own amusement primarily, not expecting many people to visit it.
I have been therefore pleasantly surprised to find a number of surfers who have ancestors who either served on one of the ships involved in the storm, or who are interested in the history of the dramatic events, and who have taken the trouble to make contact and provide additional data to expand the scope.
This is now the fourth large-scale revision of my web-site, and though the content has hardly changed from the previous version, I got utterly fed up with Netscape so wrote my own page compiler to use instead. Any comments or feedback would be very welcome. .
If you wish to contact me, then I’m afraid I need to disguise my e-mail address. You will need to type in the address in the format:
firstpart.secondpart@thirdpart.fourthpart
replacing those “parts” with “Scaramouche” for the firstpart, then a period, then “TheFool” for the second part all as one word, an ampersand (@), “Tesco” for the third part, another period (full stop) and finally “Net” for the fourth part (case is not significant). If you could please make initial contact with the subject line: “Calliope Contact”, then I will be able to reply to you fairly quickly with a more personal e-mail address. Sorry about this, when I first set up the web page, I was inundated with spam.
Click on the yellow sub-links which have opened up in the navigation panel on the left hand side of the window to read about Scaramouche and Rafael Sabatini.
