February 2008 sees the 40th Anniversary of the Milton Keynes Festival of the Arts for Dance, Music and Speech & Drama, a festival open to amateurs of all ages and levels of ability and organized as an educational charity by a dedicated team of unpaid volunteers. Each year we see around 2000 performers across the three festivals.
We very much see ourselves as part of the cultural life of Milton Keynes and welcome new performers each year : choirs / orchestras / soloists and groups in dance, drama and music to name just a few of the classes we offer as a celebration of performance art in our growing city.
Our 2008 Festival syllabus containing information on festival venues and performance classes is now on the website for all to view and download or you can phone me for a paper copy sent by post.
In addition we will be celebrating this anniversary milestone with a Gala Concert at the Chrysalis Theatre on Sunday 13 April 2008 at 3pm where we will be presenting performances from current and past festival entrants. Ticket orders can be placed via myself for future delivery and payment, but if this concert is for you, do diary it now.
Please tell anyone you feel may be interested in our festival or the Gala Concert and I am happy for any enquiries to come to me on 01908 504779 or by email.
