This self catering apartment is based at Las Caletas which is a new development of privately owned, luxury apartments, 15 minutes from the airport, situated on the coast side of the main road between Corralejo and the capital, Puerto del Rosario. The famous Corralejo sand dune beaches are a 5 minute drive away. The complex is also conveniently located for visiting the lagoons of El Cotillo, the capital Puerto del Rosario and other interesting towns such as La Oliva, Antigua and Betancuria. The climate is hot in summer and warm in winter with temperatures reaching up to 24 degrees even in January! There is a wide range of activities available on the island including walking, golf, swimming, diving, kite boarding, wind surfing, bird watching, fishing, karting, and a water park. In contrast there are other attractions to visit such as windmills, museums, caves, churches and Lobos Island.

The coastline adjacent to the apartments is completely natural and undeveloped with the nearest beach (shingle) being half a kilometre away. The apartments are set within well-maintained gardens with three large swimming pools plus a small pool suitable for children. There are large poolside, and rooftop, sun bathing terraces. The complex has a bar and supermarket. All apartments have individual entry phones thereby making the whole site very safe.

The apartment sleeps up to 4 people. There are two bedrooms, bedroom 1 having a double bed and bedroom 2 having two single beds. The kitchen is equipped to a very high standard with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, cooker with ceramic hob and oven, kettle, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. In the lounge/dining area there is a TV, DVD and cd/tape player. Sliding patio doors from the living area lead onto a large furnished balcony, which goes across the whole width of the apartment. The balcony looks out onto the largest swimming pool. The bathroom is fully tiled with matching bath/shower, toilet, washbasin and bidet. A hair dryer, 3 fans and sun loungers are supplied.

In January and February ('low' season') a reduction of £50 applies. I can quote in euros upon request. Prices include cleaning which is done prior to your arrival and after your departure, all linen and towels (excluding beach towels). Longer lets of 3 or more weeks can be arranged and are charged at the low season rate.
A half hourly bus service between Corralejo and Puerto del Rosario stops directly outside the apartments.
Transfers between the airport and apartment are available at 40 Euros return.
A welcome pack of food can be provided which you pay for locally.
Car hire is cheap and readily available and costs about £110 (115 Euros) per week for an air conditioned car.
Flights can be booked using the Internet but sometimes good deals can be found on Teletext or through Travel Agents. From November 2009 no frills airlines Easy Jet and Monarch are flying from Liverpool, Stansted, Manchester, Gatwick, Birmingham and Liverpool. Viking Airlines fly from Gatwick and Palm Air fly from Exeter. Conventional carriers Thomas Cook and Thomsonfly also fly from most major airports.
