EXPANDING AND UPGRADING THE SCHOOL

Future plans are being considered to create a new block of up to 6 classrooms, which will upgrade the school to a Lower Basic Primary School for 7-13 year olds.  This huge project is planned in phases but even so, it will require a lot of time, work and energy to raise the money and support required.

The first Primary class will begin in September, using the fourth classroom, whilst the fourth nursery class uses an outdoor classroom until building starts on the new building.

The school is named after  the village  in Kent where this charity first blossomed.
Class sizes

The age range is currently 3 - 7 years and we should have the Junior section opened for 8 - 13 years by the end of July 2005. We want to keep class sizes to below forty. The Gambia average is fifty to seventy
