Screw Threads and Tapping Drills Pages

Welcome to my pages on threads and drill sizes. Since retiring from active work, I have been painstakingly feeding the data from my old notebooks into my computer. I have used a spreadsheet to convert sizes to fractions, decimal and metric. Most of the information listed in these pages, is available from many other sources, but on this site it is at least, all in one place. If you go to the page on drill sizes, you will find all the sizes, up to one inch, and includes letter and number drills, tapping drill sizes for BA (British Association), BSF (British Standard Fine), BSC (British Standard Cycle Thread), CEI (Cycle Engineers Institute), ISO (International Standards Organisation) Metric Coarse, Fine, and Special Pitch, UNF (Unified Fine Thread), UNC (Unified Coarse Thread), and Whitworth Threads.

Across the top of this page is a list of links to pages comprising of data relevant to individual threads. These pages list the data for Outside diameter, Threads per Inch, Pitch, Core Diameter and Tapping Drill Sizes, for the various screw threads. On these pages there is a link that will allow you to view a simple Thread Profile Drawing and calculations.

Whilst I can't guarantee the accuracy of the data listed on these pages, I can assure you that I have checked and double-checked the figures. If you find any discrepancies, I would be grateful if you could e-mail me, I will then be able to make any necessary corrections.

If it is more convenient to you, download the Drill Sizes file as Text (Word Pad) or Zip File (WinZip).

I Sincerely hope that you will find this information useful, and convenient to use.
