We are, so far, five friends who have decided to se up The Fair Shares Investment Club to try to make a few pounds while at the same time having a bit of fun and learning about investing.
None of us are wealthy but we hope that we can make a reasonable return by investing a small monthly sum on a regular basis over an extended period.
We did a little research [mainly on the internet] and discovered that there are already many similar investment clubs in the United Kingdom as well as elsewhere in the world. You can find some of them here.
We also discovered an organisation called PROSHARE which has produced a manual to help investment clubs to get started with the minimum of difficulty.
In September of this year we started the club which we have called "The Fair Shares Investment Club" and, once we have established the basic ground rules, we will try to grow the club to the maximum of twenty members.
